Comic Frames.

Here are a few frames from comics that have been stuck in my head for a while. Favorite, or most memorable..

Cold Heat Special 4
Story by Frank Santoro. Story and art by Jim Rugg.

This is definitely my favorite Cold Heat thus far, and it comes HIGHLY recommended. Jim Rugg fucking tears shit up. You can pick this issue up from PictureBox.

Cold Heat Special 1
Story and art by Jon Vermilyea. Plot and layouts by Frank Santoro.

I love that she has a walkman in this issue (though you can't see it in this frame). Rock those tapes, Castle!

Cold Heat Special 3
You can read that, right?

Cold Heat #1
Storytellers: BJ and Frank Santoro Letterer: Aaron Cometbus Editor & Publisher: Dan Nadel

The full series can be obtained from PictureBox if you like what you see. There may even be a few copies of some of the specials floating around. You can read the first four issues for free online here! Shit man!!!
If you missed out on some specials or you don't have the dough to buy them right now, never fear! All material (including specials, I'm pretty sure) will be available AT SOME POINT from PictureBox in the form of an epic 240(+/-?) pg. monster (or something like that). I am STOKED!!
I'm waiting for my copy of issue 5/6 right now. Expect at least a short post on that/maybe an extensive review.

“A comic that feels like a cable from a world where the only thing that exists is a dimly lit bedroom in which you’re wearing ripped jeans and you just keep listening to and rewinding “Teenage Riot” over and over again. Outstanding.” –The Comics Journal

I couldn't have said it better myself.

NOW, moving on to other things, like...

The A-Team Storybook (aka three separate comics reprinted in one "book")
JIM SALICRUP Writer MARIE SEVERIN Plot, Pencils, Colors CHIC STONE Inking BRAD JOYCE Letterer JOHN ROMITA Art Director
SOL BRODSKY Production Chief JIM SHOOTER Editor-in-Chief

LOLZ

PIE #1

The Super Friends #24

Penciller - Ramona Fradon •Letterer - Ben Oda •Editor - Julius Schwartz

PSYCH WAVES!!

The Ren & Stimpy Show #36

BLACK HOLE
Charles Burns

This would have originally been in Issue 2, I believe. I love that
The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test is in the picture.

Ghost World
Daniel Clowes

I couldn't find a frame that I really liked. I think David Boring is my favorite work of his, except maybe a story or two that were published in Eightball.

Madman: The Oddity Odyssey (1992-2002 10 years of Madman!)
written and illustrated by Mike Allred
lettering by Laura Allred

V For Vendetta
Written by Alan Moore
Illustrated by David Lloyd

with Steve Whitaker and Siobhan Dodds

There's more, but I'm sick of typing out names and shit.

EPIC.

The Iron Tonic
Edward Gorey

From the collection AMPHIGOREY TOO

AND FINALLY...

A few pictures from The Porcelain Figurine [which originally appeared in Kramers Ergot 6] by Shary Boyle, who can make nothing short of amazing. She usually works in some form of sculpture, but also paints and performs live projection. Her website is here.

Whew.
